I have an ongoing thing that I do. I haunt the local GoodWill for wheelchairs and walkers that are in primo condition. Surprising, but I find one every few months and it may still have the price tags on it— for like $25.00. Then I give them away when I find someone in my world who needs one and who I know is a little short on cash. I found one last Sunday and didn’t even get out the door and this young man who was just walking in with his 3 little girls asked me if there were others like that in the store. He said his mom was riddled with cancer and he and his sister were struggling to physically get her to the car and then into the doctors office. Bottom line is I gave him the wheelchair but this time he insisted on repaying me what I had paid. It feels good to help a real person —
