I do lift on the Total Gym. I tried reducing my calories to 1200 or less and that's when I started gaining weight. I was told that my body went into storing mode because I was starving it of nutrients. So I increased my intake slowly over two weeks to 1600 calories a day.

I'm not on any social media sites. I'm usually only on FS to log food. Sometimes read comments to get ideas on how to change my eating habits, etc.

I’m 5’1 a short female, and my maintenance is - Around 2200 calories. Ur calorie intake should be more than mine

Okay. I'll try 2200 calories per day for 2 weeks and see what happens. You're on maintenance and your metabolism is working normally. Plus you're young. I have been heavy for 25 years and my metabolism is very weak. I've lost 86 pounds so far, but I'm stuck.
