Totally get your point. Me I am low carb, but not true Keto. Being a type 2 diabetic fact is many of the oh so good carb laden things you have listed send my blood sugars to the moon. So for most part I am saying no to them these days. But I tried once the cauliflower version of pizza crust. Um never will do that again. Ugh.

Lol the keto dieters have excommunicated me, we eating the same foods even cheat/binge the same way, but because science has shown over and over again it’s the calorie deficit that determines weight loss and I side with science I am not one of them. Sad.

I got it, I called it weekly deficit because I was counting my calories instead of counting carbs. My weekday eats are keto/lchf so I can eat freely whatever on the weekends and still lose. They call it different things but eat exactly the same stuff and gain on the weekends just like me, they call it “carb refuel” or “carb loading”, same thing different words. Lol 😂 they don’t believe in calories so they’re going: ⬆️⬆️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️🔁🔃🔃🔀🔄↪️↩️🔄🔃

In any case to me none of the particulars of types of food or low carb or any of that really matters all that much. You won't lose weight in a caloric surplus, that much is clear but the rest is insignificant as compared to picking something that works (plenty of options here), choose something that you will stick to, create a plan and actually stick to it. The details beyond that really only matter to eveangelists, of which there are some on all sides of this ongoing futile argument.
