I’m on a trip. My husband and I have been married for 43 years and this is the longest trip we’ve been on. Three weeks on the road in our somewhat vintage RV. We’re touring the Finger Lakes of Central NYState, then down to Shenandoah National Park. We’re alternating staying at state parks with beautiful fall hikes and some museums and Agro tourism. We’ve been to a working water powered sawmill, an arboretum, a gorgeous gorge, an arts festival and a winery. All with frequent long doggie walks in between. Tomorrow we will visit the hip foodie town, Penn Yan for a nice lunch out. Lots of walking. I’m not recording but we’re cooking in the RV,so our diet has been pretty controlled. I’ll see where I land at the end of the month. We’re learning how to enjoy being retired. So far this has been fun but we’re only a few days into it with mild gorgeous weather and awesome fall foliage.
