The weather forecast show another "atmospheric river" heading California, at least to Northern California. Last year was the first time I heard that phrase, they used to say "pineapple express" for storms heading here from Hawaii. Other things I've heard is to have enough (food? Batteries?) To get through 2 weeks. I've always kept plenty of stuff in the pantry for times when I just can't or don't want to go to the grocery store. But I did a quick look this morning and I'll probably be fine, but did make a trip to the store to get more cans of tomato soup (for some reason my new favorite thing to eat) and ages other items. There are supposed to be high winds and that's usually what causes the power to go out. So I made tuna casserole since the storm isn't here yet. It's something I love to eat cold. At least the weather is much warmer than it has been. So even if the power goes out it probably will not get too cold overnight. The toughest part is when the phone internet and TV can be used. Need to make sure everything is charged. I'm hoping we are getting to the end of these storms!

Thanks Morticia, it's just more of this winter. There has been so much snow and super cold temps that this warmer storm with rain that could melt snow might cause problems with flooding. I'm lucky that there isn't a creek near my house and the nearest river is about 20 miles away. So I should be fine. But the ground is so saturated that big huge trees are just falling over! E dry time I go for a walk after a storm is over I see one or two fallen trees somewhere on my walk. So far my trees (at least 20) seem okay.

Be careful Fritzy, I’m preparing to hunker down for the next 36 hours as well. Me and my jigsaw puzzle and exercise videos. No hike or swim.

Thanks Kenna, hope you are safe as well. It's raining steadily but not much wind yet. I'm enjoying watching the birds. I sprinkle sunflower chips all over the day for and get dozens and dozens of birds. Mostly gold finches, but also some titmouses, sparrows, juncos, tohees, and 2 different blue jays, stellar and scrub jays

I don’t mind the rain storms. It’s the constant overcast that bugs me. If it’s going to be grey and overcast, at least have rain, if not let the sun shine in!

Hope you are safe! The wind here is INSANE! When it was raining it was coming down sideways. The wind would blow the automatic gate closed as it was trying too open. Just insane and hope you are safe

Storm hit me in Anaheim about 12– on time as it was scheduled, and it is pouring now. Staying off the streets. I have a 1200 page book I just started and a jigsaw puzzle in progress and music to listen to so I’m good. Hope you are too.

Thanks Daddy! Hope you and all the baby cows and their mamas are safe. The rain is blowing sideways here as well. The wind is loud with the rain! Bob y just got out of his dog bed to see what is going on. I don't think this is going to stop for hours, and we may get some thunder storms

Thanks Kenna! I've made it as far as the front porch but it is so windy I don't know what could fly at me, so I am just staying inside. I have a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle I started a couple weeks ago and the forgot about it. But I've been working on it today. Glad to know you are safe.
