Diario de Fritzy 22, 06 ago. 23

I weighed myself this morning. I'm up close to 6 pounds since I last posted my weight 105 days ago. I had weighed myself a month or more ago and was up 2-3 pounds. If I am not a fanatic about following my desired WOE I gain weight. I'm always either gaining or losing, rarely maintaining except for the years when I would run 4 miles most days. I'm too old to do that now even if I was in shape. I haven't posted the weight yet. Hopefully I can lose a few pounds before I do that.

I'm doing okay on this latest reset. For me I can't have anything in the house to snack on, at least not things I'll over eat. But I have some left over sodas from my trip and I can't stay away from them. It's hard, I so often want something to snack on, but when there's nothing in the house I don't really want to open a can of baked beans or anything I have in the cupboard. I am really trying to drink enough water. This having problems. I am pretty sure I was dehydrated on my vacation. On long car rides I drink very little water because I don't want to have to keep stopping at rest stops. I had been really trying to drink at least a half gallon of water every day and was even marking down each 16 ounce glass as I drank it. But now I probably drink 8-10 ounces if I don't pay attention.

By brother in law and nephew came over today to pick up my kitchen table and 6 chairs I told my sister she could have. It has 6 chairs and can be expanded to a larger table, which she needs for her kids and grandkids when they visit. I just use the table for jig saw puzzles. I have a set of trays I use when I eat. I have a couple of folding tables in the garage and will probably bring them in the house for puzzles, etc. Even though it will be early next year before I move, I just want to see the results of downsizing and want to get rid of so much stuff.

Thanks Morticia. My goal is to get rid of lots of stuff before putting the house up for sale. I think it will look better with very little furniture. My dining room looks huge with the table. I'll need a smaller table for the new house.

So hard to go back and forth … hang in there … my husband and I are looking to get rid of all the crap we have stored up after raising 5 children. It sometimes seems very overwhelming but I plan to do it a little at a time. This way if we want to relocate we can. I love the idea of having less stuff but I may have to block Amazon from my street. I swear my husband has something coming everyday! I keep saying, Do we need that?

You'll get back to your normal WOE. Thats why I seldom deviate from mine. It takes me about 3 days to get back at it. I took have so much stuff I need to get rid of. We have been in our house for about 25 years. It adds up!🩷

We have so much to get rid of too. Because of numerous reason's, I can't walk down the basement stairs now..so that limits my productivity.

Thanks Erika, I took 6 or 7 car loads of stuff to the thrift store 2 years ago when I first thought of moving. Last year I went through the boxes I had packed and took another car load but didn't find much more to get rid of. Now that I know my new house will 1/3 smaller than my current house I know I need to get rid of more, including lots of furniture. Not easy

Thanks Rachael - I went from a 1500 square foot 3 bedroom house to this house with 4 bedrooms and 2150 square feet. I worked to get furniture in all the bedrooms and then realized that less stuff looks better. Now I'm moving to a 2 bedroom house and just 1400 square feet. I will try to keep it uncluttered!

Thanks Diana. I am not really committed to a WOE other than a calorie limit. I know low carb isn't possible for me to follow. Low carb usually means high fat, high protein. Low fat is ideal but I can only do that if I don't count healthy fats like nuts and olive oil. But I know foods I have to keep out of the house because I will over eat them, chips and certain breads. I stay in my homes at least 10 years and it's easy to accumulate lots of stuff. I have 3 different kinds of rakes for my yard and probably won't even need one in the new house which will have a tiny lot which is what I want at my stage of life

Thanks rigidity - I have 7 or 8 steps to get down to the garage and the front porch. I am starting have trouble with stairs so was looking for a house on a level lot.

Fritzy, I do count carbs, calories, fat and protein. For me it works but I'm not keto. I eat around 100 carbs a day ( keto is 30 or under) and I eat around 50 grams of fat a day. Cannot do the amt of fat keto does. Protein is over 100 grams and I don't think you eat near that. We all have our WOE that works for us individually. Mine is mostly because I want to stay lean and built. .I think you do great. 🩷🩷

Diana, I aim for a minimum of 40 grams of protein but try to get to 60 if I can. I don't like to cook and only have meat a couple times a week. I"try" not to go too far over 100 carbs. Today fat was the highest of the macros, 50% because I had scrambled eggs, cooked in butter for breakfast and a half peanut butter sandwich for lunch. I just always have in mind what my doctor says I should and shouldn't eat, but just can't stick to it 100%. Or even 50% Actually, maybe I should aim for 50% of what he says
