Diario de ddrudd, 08 nov. 23

Thinking about focusing more on cardio for a few months. Back in 2020 I was at my peak just from tons of jiu jitsu (sparring is major HIIT) and running… but since that time I got very ill and had some big health setbacks including an injury where I almost lost the ability to walk for a year. Ever since that decline things did bounce back a little but I’m so much slower than I ever used to be and it feels like there’s a ceiling or limit that’s always pushing down on me. I haven’t aged much to see such a drop in my fitness. While I’ve gotten stronger during that time my cardio just hasn’t ever come back. Considering spending the next few months trying to train cardio more purposefully and see if it’s possible to get back some of what I lost.

good luck 👍 it's a balancing act for sure I found that out big time this year the better at running I got the worse at lifting I got 😕

I used to run 5ks under 30 min every time but right now I don’t think I could get it done in less than 38 min 😔 I actually wouldn’t know because I never even run a full 5k anymore

@OTB thanks for the support. Yeah I might go back to having a weaker looking physique… but I think I’m ready to take that chance. I can always go the other direction again. It sucks that we can’t just have it both ways 😭 lol
