Awww, Diana! You are an inspiration to me! I'm not sure I could have met the challenges you've faced these past few months with as much grit and patience as you've had. I'm just so thankful you're on the mend and doing well, it truly warms my heart! @wifey - If I'm correct, Heather Robertson still works out of Florida. She does both a podcast, facilitates a community group called HSM community, and provides individual weight loss/maintenance Coaching. Her mission and approach is "losing with maintenance in mind". She also has youtube videos that can be extremely helpful in working through self sabotaging behavior. She does not sell a weight loss program. We had tons of folks in our group using all kinds of approaches. Her aim is that whatever approach one is using - it is both sustainable and maintainable, both in weight loss and after one hits their goal. For example & per her suggestion - I actually took maintenance breaks while I was losing weight --> NOT DIET BREAKS --> But, actual maintenance breaks where I practiced maintaining a weight range for about ten days every 14 weeks. I didn't eat above or below maintenance calories for whatever weight I was at. This allowed my metabolism a break, but it also taught me what maintaining a weight range felt and looked like. Which is important, since I will be spending more time in maintenance than I did losing the weight. It was so nice to hit that goal and have a plain and strategy all set up for me to transition into and more importantly one I had already practiced while losing! It's been a huge part of this girl's success thus far.
