No surprises here. Just doing what has to be done around here today and not stressing. D.i.l. had a major surgery today and is being released home today. I'm NOT happy but my son took the rest of the week off and will be a pit bull about her not being bothered, working/lifting, etc. He will monitor her closely. Has experience of entire adult life in EMS, firefighter, death-scene investigator, police officer, ortho surgery tech, and works now as a scrub tech. I'm still in disbelief that she was discharged today. Yes, I'm an old-school nurse and not afraid to find fault with corporate medicine with it's money-grubbing patient 'care' protocols.
