I confess - I am absolutely loving these before and after pics popping up in the feed. And, THANK YOU so very much for the support and love provided for the pics I posted. I can tell ya, unlike any other time before, I feel like I was present for every single one of these pounds lost! lol.

I did have mini-splurge with a glass of wine last Sunday. I had 2 instead of 1. It was after a mini melt down. I haven't really cried a lot since all this stuff begin. I cried once when the ER doctor came in 20 minutes after the first MRI, looked at me and my mom and said, "No, this is serious...the symptoms you're presenting are way more than just a couple of bulging discs". I made him confirm for me one of the things they were looking for was MS. After he said, "yes", he left the room and the tears started flowing. I think out of panic more than anything else.

The second time my mom was bringing me home from work. And, the third was last Sunday after a workout, a swim, and a shower. I just welled up with emotion and start crying. But, it doesn't last long. Needless to say, the second glass of wine tasted really good. But, the next day I made sure to drink 4 liters of water and stick to my one glass.

Thursday's appointment with the MS specialist looms in the distance. And, I try to keep my goals and priorities straight.

-get a referral for a PCP
-get meds for the muscle spasticity and banding
-get referral for a Physical therapist

There has not been any marked improvement with regards to sensation in my lower extremities. My gait has now grown stiff on my right side because of the banding. I'm no longer on any steroids and both mom and me wonder if the levels of inflammation in my body will rise again. Water weight seems to be the ultimate thermometer for this, these days. Although, I have to state, the mobility in my knee joint is much better after a workout. And, today is the beginning of my 2 day workout cycle. Today's exercises include:

After stretching, start first with my hardest:
1. 18 modified floor push-ups
2. 30 Shoulder presses
3. 30 Tricep push backs
4. 36 Shoulder raises
5. 36 side angled push backs
6. 10 squats

then go to:
1. 22 inner thigh piques
2. 18 inner thigh circles
3. 24 Side lying double lifts
4. 10 knee lifts


then we can go to the bike:
1. As per rotation - increase resistance to level 15 for 30 minutes
2. 10 squats

End with:
1. 36 bicep curls
2. 60 sit-ups, 135 crunches
3. 44 abductor lifts in all 4 positions
4. 36 tricep curls

Today is also Pizza day at the office. Of course, I stick to eating my salad. And, the girls at Monterey Cafe (where we order) still draw sweet pictures on my container. Today's is a cute little Giraffe and definitely worth sharing :-)
