My turn to stay with my Momma. She doesn't seem as good as she was a couple of weeks ago when I was here last. Her scales are different of course so I'm blaming that for the 3 lb gain. Our Thanksgiving was really low key, but I did eat sweet potatoes made with sugar. I'll be here another week. Missing my hubby.

Weight is up and down like an elevator! Crisis at the Funnyfarm!! Had a water leak that seeped into a storage closet that was packed to the gills. Lots of stuff ruined, other stuff cleaned and drying. Two new holes in the walls to find the problem. Got a plumber pretty quickly and $220.00 later the leak is fixed and cleanup is still underway. My brother is here for deer season and he has been a tremendous help! Poor hubby was sick in bed that first day of the crisis. Tested negative for Covid thank goodness. Better the next day and today pretty much back to normal. BTW, brother got a nice 10 point a couple of days ago, so he is a happy hunter. Never a dull moment!

Having cataract surgery on my left eye tomorrow. My right eye is doing great!! The double vision was gone as soon as the surgery was over. YAY!! If this next one goes as well as the first one I'm gonna be a happy camper. Spent a week taking care of Mom right after the eye surgery, we made it just fine, except I did more bending over than I was supposed to. Mom is about the same, maybe a little weaker. Thank goodness my husband was there for a couple of days and helped get her up the stairs for her shower. He had left by the time for her next one and I just gave her a sponge bath in the kitchen. So I guess she has lost some strength since I stayed with her 3 weeks ago. Maintanence is just beebopping along. Even tho I'm at goal I would really like to take off a few more pounds, but they are holding on tight!

Had cataract surgery last Thursday and it is going great. I am amazed at the difference in colors between the treated eye and the one that will be done in a couple of weeks! I feel likea toddler who just learned how to wink! I keep winking to appreciate the difference. I had no idea I wasn't seeing the true colors of my world. I am back staying with my Mom for a week. She is about the same as when I was here 3 weeks ago. Struggling to just hold my own on the weight front. Hope all is well with you all!

Spent 9 days taking care of Mom, been home about a week. Went to the eye doctor and will be having cataract surgery on my right eye on Oct 19th. I have an unusual type of cataract in that eye that makes me see 1 1/2 of everything so I will be glad to get it removed. Went to the hemotologist on Wed and I'm not anemic at this time, so the iron infusions worked. Hopefully my body will maintain. White cells are still low, but not enough to cause immunity problems. They don't know why. I really want to loose those 10 pesky pounds, but it looks like I'm going to have to try harder. Maybe some exercise will help, I am such a lazy slug! I hate to exercise!!
