I’m on the fence on this one. When I was put on low carb diet by the drs, they didnt limit my calories but only carbs. I lost weight without feeling hungry but there was a calorie deficit naturally without me actively counting the calories. On a strict low calorie diet (higher calorie than low carb) I do feel more hungry even though I’m losing. This is why sometimes low carb, keto, Atkins dieters say they dont count calories only carbs. I can’t tell people what will or will not work for them but just what works for me. I needed to gain a little weight before going back to martial arts to make it harder for me to be thrown. I wanted the extra energy to get through the drills and class. I want to lose just a little more to make yoga and running easier. It is true what you posted and I think a lot of us are saying the same things, but some diets arent suited for certain bodies. I wouldn’t recommend fasting to a diabetic, or keto to someone with sensitivity to sodium or is the rare person whose body will have Increased bad cholesterol levels due to the high fat diet. Thank you for posting this! I hope people will take away to keep trying different diets until they find the perfect fit.
