Do any of you know something about getting the paint on my car spot sprayed or doing it myself? Yesterday my husband backed out of a handicapped space on the side of a restaurant and drove over the island or sidewalk next to the handicapped ramp which made it higher than a parking curb. It was certainly a terrible jolt but he just kept going and tore up the area under the door plus denting the bottom of the door and blowing the rear tire. The AAA man, that came out to change the tire, said to at least spray paint the area so it does not rust. My insurance has a high deductible so I doubt it is worth it to turn it in to them and have it against his record, and have our premiums go up. The vehicle is a white 2014, with only 18,000 miles, and I do plan on keeping it for years, but my husbands driving is a problem, so it could have been much worse. I have mixed feelings about it. I love the car. I bought it 3 years old with only 9,000 miles on it, for about 40% of what they had in it. It doesn't really show if you are up close, maybe only at a distance. Okay, even though it is 5 years old, I have 6 more years of bumper to bumper extended warranty. I suppose anyone would say it depends on how picky I am, whether I can live with the dents and chrome tore up. It's a pretty car. I don't know who to ask.

@Snowwhite100, so sorry that you have to deal with this! I sent you a private message with a link to companies near you that do minor dent work, with or without paint repair. It's cheaper than going to a collision shop, but I'd get an estimate from a collision shop anyway, so you can compare prices. For "do-it-yourself," you'd need to sand down to the bare metal, use metal primer first, and then paint with the original paint to get the right finish. I'd make a mess of that myself!
