I am getting excited! 20 pounds away from my first "mini" goal! There are a few positive changes going on right now. We decided to redecorate our apartment. My mom and I went on this huge shopping spree, and everything is coming together and looking beautiful. We wanted to have something to do during this, because my mother and I are always out on the town. We are always used to being out so it definitely has its challenges.
Our apartment is looking gorgeous! I am so happy that we found a project to do together. If you may not already know, I am a caregiver to my mom. I am always looking to keep her spirits up especially during this time when I can't get her out. I think that she is looking forward to seeing the results of the makeover. There are times when she tells me that she wishes that she could help me put up the decorations, assemble things, clean, etc. I am trying to find little things for her to do. I do not want her to ever feel helpless because that certainly doesn't describe my mom! I suggested that we should make paint by number murals for our place. I told her that I'll get all the supplies, and we can lay newspaper down on the kitchen table and have a blast.
Amongst my many online purchases, I ordered a free weight set with rack and pilates ropes. I have been walking around my neighborhood while the gym has been closed. It's been definitely helping me. I think that I should have some equipment at home though. We don't have much room, so the weights and ropes are perfect.
