I am a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) Survivor; which I sustained in a tragic car accident on June 30th, 1999. I was in a coma for almost 2 months. I lost my mother, in the accident. I was in ICU at Grady Memorial for almost a month. I weighed 277 lbs prior to the accident. I got transferred to the Shepherd Center in late July. After 3 months, my weight dropped to 241. It has been a long, hard road for me to lose weight. Especially due to my disability.
