Dear members, thank you very much for your comments. I think the most important thing in any situation is what kind of people you are surrounded by. This is not only about your neighbors, but also your school, workplace, hobby circles, etc., and your family is the most important part.
If you live in a rented house and your neighbors are having problems, you can consider moving. But if you buy a house, you'll find out what kind of neighbors you have after you actually live there. You cannot choose your neighbors. That's why I want to be nice to my neighbors as much as possible, like I love my family.
I would like to introduce an old custom of Japan. If you move to a new house, give soba noodles to the neighbors on the right and left sides of your house, and the house in front of you and its right and left sides of the house. (It means 5 neighbors)
Why give soba noodles as a gift? Noodles are long. It means that you want to create a long-lasting friendship like noodles. It's kind of interesting, right? However, this custom is no longer practiced in Japan. (We gave our neighbors cookies instead of soba noodles. Does that mean let's be sweet relationship? LOL)
In rural Japan, socializing with neighbors is common. However, in the case of big cities, Japan, like the United States, has a weaker relationship with its neighbors.
