Down 2.6 lbs since Monday while still having a beer daily. I can do this. I guess the stairs, walking, logging food is working (despite my inner self screaming all the time "I NEED MORE FOOD!!")

Agreed, beer is not the issue. It becomes an issue when the dinner is done then I need a snack to go with the remaining beer. Then while eating snack, beer 1 finishes with snack left over then I have to get another beer to wash down the snack and so on so forth. I am a work in progress and I think I am on the right track.

Snacks can be a killer. My hardest time is in the evenings also, I do my best when I leave some calories available for something healthy, like a yogurt or some berries or frozen fruit sorbet. You're on the right track Ches for sure. I've learned this is a marathon and not a sprint, keep hanging in there and if you fall get back up and keep going....that's what wins the race. And yup, you can work some beer into the plan!

It's funny, I felt lighter last night so when I stared in the fridge at the yogurt last night after dinner, I thought to myself. Hmmnnn, a martini would be proper. I gave in and had 1 with some chips.... and a tini wini bowl of Rum and Rasin icecream ((I am such a sucker))

Ice cream can be my downfall, it sure has recently, last night I ate over a pint of it at my mom's. Can't have it in the house!
