197 lbs this morning. It's a gain from 2 weeks ago but I'm happy with it considering last weekend I was a bit over 202 lbs, and last night's dinner out was Spanish cuisine that included some chips, rice, and beans. Feels good to be back on track, now to just continue on down and not go astray.

Yesterday's jogging doesn't seem to have caused any issues with my sciatic nerve, that's great. For now I'll continue with intervals of jogging with my walking, taking it relatively easy but at least getting some cardio out of it.

Parts for my wife's car came in so I'll be replacing the exhaust manifold, flex pipe, and oxygen sensors today. As I am NOT an auto mechanic it usually takes me twice as long to do stuff as it should but I've got all day. Crossing my fingers I can get it done and not break anything in the process. Have a great weekend.

That's some heavy duty mechanic work. You are going to save a lot of money. I had my catalytic converter replaced this week and it cost me a mint...

If you ARE a mechanic it will take twice as long. Mere mortals require four times the bluebook time. For those interested, check out this auto repair time estimate calculator. http://www.autobytel.com/mygarage/car-repair-estimate-calculator/

Glad to hear you can get in some cardio without pain. Good luck dealing with the car.

You can do it Jim, I am a part time mechanic and yes it takes me longer as well but that is not that bad of a fix

WOW - I am always so impressed when people can actually do those type of repairs on their own!

Thanks everyone. I got the car fixed in about 5 hours, not too bad, but cross-threaded one of the manifold studs putting it back together. Thankfully it's easy to get to and I have a friend at work who builds and maintains race cars. I'm sure he's got the tools to get that fixed and will help me with it. Now on to replace the transmission on my lawn mower, if I get that done this evening it'll be a super productive day and I will have earned the pumpkin craft beer that's been in my fridge for weeks waiting to be drank.

Great job! I know what to do, but not strong enough to do a lot of things....keep hubby around for that, lol! My dad was a diesel mechanic/innovator and we grew up knowing what torque, HP and RPM are...as well as the parts of an engine. My son has a 1600hp Caddy.....he must have the gene. I always admire guys who take on new challenges! Good for you on you weight loss and keeping it in control!

Got the transmission for the mower in yesterday so it was a great day for fixing stuff, although I had to take the wheels off and put them back on several times because I kept getting parts on wrong, then when it was all done (so I thought) I realized there were still parts sitting on the floor next to me so back apart it came. But today it ran great so all is well. Sitting here now enjoying my pumpkin beer a day late. Pumking put out by Southern Tier Brewery. It's actually from last year and has been aging in my fridge since then. Normally beers are better earlier but stuff like this ages well as long as it's temperature controlled. Good stuff! I have 3 other pumpkin beers my brother gave me but they will have to wait for another time.
