Happy Memorial Day.

This journal entry comes to you from the office on a holiday. Been here since 6:30 AM and it is now 10:30 AM. No fun, but it is what it is. I took off Friday so I too could have a 3 day weekend like most other corporate people.

Back in the game, back on track. Speaking of tracking, haven't been doing that much on FS since my return after a 6 month hiatus. I am however, focusing on the quality of foods I consume rather than the calories and the scale is going in the right direction again. ((HINT HINT... I am doing things / eating things that lower my Insulin levels))

I am moving away from CICO and the eat less move more methodologies and focusing more on my meal composition and meal timing. All foods you eat/drink control your hormones and metabolism. Eat the wrong foods, and you create a hormonal imbalance and get a unfavorable metabolic responses to this.

Don't get me wrong, I lost weight using the CICO method, but I am finding out that for long term lasting results, there are betters way. Others have figured it out and have they results to show. I love proven track records. ((HINT HINT, master your Insulin levels, weight control will be easier)) Follow me on this next chapter. This will be interesting.

Make it count today and everyday.

Insulin control is crucial for a lot of us! I don't know if insulin resistance can be permanently 'cured', but it certainly can be managed. Nice to hear from you, Ches.

Thanks Kes. I am doing this because T2D is one scary animal and although I don't have it, I don't want to get it. A little fear can be a good thing. Nice hearing from you as well.

I'm with you on that. My dad's side of the family was rife with T2D, with multiple amputations, blindnes, etc from it. I've been off of sugar (mostly) since my early 30's, and now keeping very low carb for that very reason.
