Diario de chesgreen, 18 abr. 16

Happy Monday. No change on the scale. No problem. Some theater style microwave popcorn fell in my mouth, maybe 1/4 bag and 3 chocolate covered almonds. Ok, truthfully, I wish the scale was lower because I have been a lot better overall. The good news is that plenty ketones in urine. I will continue to push on. Survived a weekend.

106,3 kg Disminuído hasta ahora: 3,4 kg.    Aún para ir: 15,6 kg.    Dieta seguida: Bien.

That is okay Ches! LOL!! Glad you are still in ketosis. That is so awesome! I think one little boo boo isn't going to throw you out. Several days of boo boo's will, eventually. You got this!

Thanks Mom2. Last weekend, 4/9-4/10 when I wasn't logging my foods, I got thrown waaay out of ketosis despite the 234.4. login on 4/11. Tuesday I went up to 238.6 as a result and it took almost a whole week to get back. No worries, I will open a can of whip a$$ on my fat cells and get it done.

Weight loss may slow after the quick initial drop and the excess water is flushed. There was an article posted last week by someone about the possibility that fat cells can fill back up with water temporarily after fat stores are used up in them which can result in a stall in movement on the scale. I'll PM you the link. Just keep sticking with it, results will continue over time.

I read that article as well Jim. I am in it for the long run. My cravings are overall down for sugary things and I really need to get my but in gear with exercise. I am currently dealing with seasonal allergies that is doing me in.

No matter how big the bag, tub, whatever of popcorn, if it's in front of me I will eat the whole thing. I am in awe of your restraint at 1/4 bag! Anyway, what you had wouldn't have amounted to a huge number of carbs so it's easy to see how you stayed in ketosis. You can also achieve ketosis with calorie restriction - it is, after all, just a sign you're burning your own fat for fuel.

Good job there, Ches! I eat popcorn at night, and it doesn't seem to be a problem. I know I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to gorge, or fast today, maybe neither. lol

I only managed 1/4 bag because my wife snapped the bag right out of my hands. I growled at here. She said "Ches, how could you?" I responded "I don't know how this got here" She and my son finished the rest. I could have EASILY finished that bag and washed it down with a cold beer or rum and coke. No alcohol for me on Sunday. Yay me.

Yay you!!! Me? I didn't eat any popcorn, and I will let you figure out the rest. Hint: It wasn't rum and coke.

Right? I'm okay with just not gaining AND being able to relax on food monitoring for a day or two. Love ketones!

You are doing nothing we all have not done at some point. As far as the scale, it will be there tomorrow. Don't you worry about it. And as far as the ketones? Damn straight. I love seeing that stick turn dark. And I love after I exercise a little watching the next stick be not as dark. That means your BURNING the ketones. Not just making them. So keep your ketone factory cranking them out. Even if your not burning them, your still making them and that means FAT IS MOTABOLISING. Your burning off the belly. Besides, you may just be retaining water. Eat a little more salt to get your body to release a little water.

Thanks everyone. I just completed an unplanned 24 hr fast. I was going to continue though tomorrow and then the cashews in the can starting dancing around in the cabinet like Mexican jumping beans. Yes, I can hear them from 30 feet away while watching E.T in full surround with the family in the living room. I did well and stayed in within my macro range 83f/12p/5c with only 613 calories consumed for the day. This guy right here is happy and the scale MOVED in the right direction. 6 1/2 days till my next weigh in.

That is awesome!!!!!!!!!! I have not done a 24 fast before. Truly impressed. I bet those dancing cashews were really calling your name ... "Ches, Ches, we're lockied in the cupboard and can't get out!! Help us! Free us! You know you want to!" LMAO!

@Mom, they certainly were. Guess what? I am in the middle of another 24 hr fast again. Why not? Heading out for a walk now. I WILL SHED THIS FAT!
