Cool info! At the moment I do about 60% cardio to 40% weights. Once I am closer to the weight that I am aiming for I’ll focus more on weights.

I NEVER do cardio, even though my weight training keeps my HR in that range 30% of the time. I have lung issues that prevent me, and would likely skirt them anyways.

I liken cardio to keto. Sure, it works but you're sacrificing lean mass in the process. Carbs+protein+lifting is the most efficient way to shape your body. Ignore the scale, trust the calorie numbers and the mirror/measurements.

Lol dusty. I’m short and can walk faster than my kids. However I top out about 3.5 mph so just faster than your snail ;). I can’t sustain that for a full mile either. Over 3 miles I average 18-18.5 minutes per mile.

BTW, try to walk at an 8km pace. I'll be here waiting for the "Yeah, not a snail's pace for walking!" Math people. It really is a thing.

5 km is 3.11 mph. Doable for most walkers. 8km?!? Math people. 4.9 mph?!? Walk and jog...yes. Walking? Good luck at close to 5 mph......

I was doing that. Closer to 7 for around 2. Let's just say I lost a lot of muscle lol. Think I'll skip the Tough Mudder this year...maybe.

Yea my Calisthentics has really assisted in my weight loss. Has provided much better results than cardio.
