Maintenance Calorie Trajectory ---> Week 25 --> Physical Therapy & NUDO noodles Edition

I guess, technically I have not been holding steady lately since I weighed in at 136.6. Happy scale clocks the average at 137.5, either one is a drop from the norm. I didn't expect to drop so quickly after increasing the cardio and I'm not even done yet.

In addition there has been a change of plans regarding upcoming vacations, which will need to be put on hold. My mother requires a knee replacement and we want to get the kitchen remodeled.

So, does this mean I'll increase cals since I'm losing and don't need the cushion for va-cays?

Mom and I discussed and I said, "why don't I do this...just allow my weight to fall where it may with the cardio since it has it's own idea about where it wants to be and when we have occasions where we plan to go out for dinner, I'll just insert 2,400 cals for that day, but not subtract the difference from other days. In short, instead of using this 2 lb cushion for a 9 day vacation that isn't going to happen. I'll just use it for those respective days when my mother and I go out to do something that includes fun foods.

I was going to use this approach this week and suggested Mom and I go to NUDO (a great ramen noodle place downtown) after my physical therapy appt. But, she's not sure because she feels like she over ate this week. My Mama's a social butterfly, lol! Anyway, she says we'll wait and see how she feels at the end of the week. Either way is fine with me. So, Friday may or may not be a 2400 cal day.

BTW, folks this approach will end on November 1 when we fall back again and all cardio is reduced. The pool gets closed, no more yard work, and I knock the time back to 30 minutes on the recumbent, and any additional cardio is through walking. I choose the winter months to focus on strength and muscle gains. That being said, I will likely crawl right back up to 138 lbs and once again work to maintain between 138-144 through the winter.

I like approaching this seasonally - it just fits with the lifestyle.

The wine tasting was delish, and it felt good to be out and about in the sun. We got some very nice bottles in our shipment I'm looking forward to trying.
