Celebrated my brother-in-law's belated birthday with a wonderful lunch. Shrimp stuffed with jalapeno, wrapped in bacon with mushroom risotto. Delicious!

Gib, we had seafood all around and it was so refreshing. Started with Ahi tuna appetizer, Joe had bass and BIL had salmon. 🐟

Thank you Shrew. 💕 Yes, you are so right. Joe is one of six, 4 brothers (3 living) and 1 sister. We are close to 2 of the brothers and of course his sister, who is a gem of a person. I didn't grow up with my older half brother, but I did kind of grow up with these guys the last 40 years. I thoroughly enjoy my time with these in-laws, whenever we get a chance. ❤

Augusta, thank you. The risotto was so creamy and tasty. I hadn't eaten risotto in some time and my BIL actually brought up the subject at Easter. This particular restaurant is part of Old Mesilla in southern New Mexico. It was originally a private home that eventually became a small hotel and restaurant. It's beautifully decorated and has a peaceful old world feel atmosphere. 😊
