I have a question? I have been on a diet for a long time does anyone else from here ever get just burnt out and just feel like quitting? some days when I get up I just don't feel like having to worry about what I'm going to eat if I'm going to gain a pound 😭 I know I have lost a lot of weight but just sometimes I don't know if it's all worth it the stress and the worry if I'm going to gain a pound cuz I ate something wrong! 😭

It’s time to take it to the next level. You can do this! Water only fasting is the way. I’ve done (2) 72 hour fasts this year. I’ve also done a couple 2 day fasts. I started out this journey January 2nd. At 245 I’m down 20 lbs this year as of today. During my fasts I lose about 5 lbs each time. Sure if I believe that the biggest benefit on The fast is weight loss. The biggest benefit is mastering your hunger. Research it Hope this helps!

Been there for sure. I am not sure what advice I have... because I have blown everything twice by giving in to it, i only know that I do not want to do that again. Gaining one pound is one thing but gaining a lot is another. Maybe alot a little break for yourself. Decide how long it should be and then go back.

sweatin78, Thank you I would love to try fasting but I'm a diabetic so I can't do that and my doctor told me that I have to eat at least 1200 calories a day. To keep my blood sugar under control!

I have felt that way...exactly...a number of times...these past few years. I try to inhale deeply...and let it go just for that moment. Then I do something concrete or physical to move on with my day. Sometimes that overwhelming feeling of "What's the use?" fades slowly sometimes fast....but it passes. Eye on the prize. Thank you for your honest share. Set me up!!!

Hey Brenda, I don't worry about gaining a pound by eating the wrong thing as I actually incorporate cheat days in my diet..on those days I enjoy whatever I want guilt free and i know my weight will fluctuate but as long as I remain consistent, I'll still see results. We have all felt like you now feel, but we remember why we started the journey and that motivates us.

Be gentle with yourself. Quit judging, and focus on what works. Judging yourself for whatever reason - no cheese down that tunnel. Expectations always set up for disappointment. Thank you for sharing Brenda! You are doing great.

You've lost 3 times what I have! We get to have an off day or 2. My macros suck today and I don't care. You have to be Proud of yourself! But I agree with you, sometimes I don't want to play this game anymore. Don't be too tough on yourself. Maybe a bit of a change in your approach to your journey would help. A day of pre portioning grab and go pkgs for the week with calorie content labels might help with some of the stress. Give yourself some credit and leeway. You have lost 2 whole people! Some fluctuations are normal. You inspire me and many others. Please put down the stick and pick up the pom poms! 💞💞💞

I think all of us have struggled with that, I know I have. BUT…I certainly FEEL better when I eat right. That is motivation for me right now until I get used to controlling food, not food controlling me.

It is normal.

The key is to think long term. You won't gain a pound of fat from eating one "wrong thing" (maybe it's also time to rethink whether anything is really "wrong" to eat).

Hang in there. I just find things that I want to improve in my health. I have a diabetic blood testing machine to see if I stay in the healthy range during the day. :) I am trying now also using a vibration board to build muscle and good bone, maybe you would like to include that? Here is the information I as usual got from Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNI3NKkcXU0&t=1s

when i struggle i eat at maintence you dont gain but its 500 cals extra for your day. do it for a planned set amount of time. then go back. when youve been counting cals long enough you start to know how big of portions and what has what cals etc and you can start to loosen up a bit on counting, or count out full meals and write them down then its an easy go to and you roughly know whats going in your body

Brenda we all feel like giving up, but when I think about how far I came and how great I'm doing it just gives me strength to keep on going, your not going to hit 100 everyday no worries there's always tomorrow be encouraged.

Brenda, I am not a subject matter expert on this and would recommend working with your physician. I never want to quit or give up. I have some good and some not so good days. The most important thing that I have learned is that this is a journey that we are are either doing what we need or learning. I listen to podcasts and read a lot to keep me motivated and learn. I also set lots of goals. Is food you life or is life your food?

Weight fluctuations are normal and often have no relation to what you ate the prior day. And one "wrong" thing isn't going to undo everything. It's about what you eat 90-95% of the time, not the other 5-10%. Is it possible you're being too restrictive and too hard on yourself. Deep breaths. Stay focused on health

Give yourself a break every now and then, we all need a break sometimes.

If you have been on a diet awhile now, switch to intuitive eating. I was starting to do that, but then I developed the muscle imbalances so I decided to do a mini cut until I fix those, but my diet isn't perfect. I eat over my calories, I try to balance it out for the week, but none of us are perfect. No one can eat perfectly all the time. Today I've gone way over my calories, but it's my birthday and I'm going to enjoy it. Last week on the 1st I went way over, but it was my husband and I anniversary and I was going to enjoy it.

I have a lot to loose, I have only been watching what I eat since late Jan., but I am trying to do a lifestyle change. I’m down 13 lbs since I began, but learning much healthier habits maybe that should be your goal instead…,.go over calories every once in awhile, you will probably still loose-keep up the great work!!!
