Mcsidon—the arrowheads that I find in my mountains in Southern California as all just that — the typical shape. Also the tips are slightly longer. My first thought was a “fishing hook”. Fish swallows it and the side wing embed in the flesh as he pulls against the line. If that were to be true, they would have to be found in an area close to a river/lake. Fascinating. Love this stuff. I once found a very large salt water shell at about 7500 ft. A real surprise. Probably from the time when the inland sea divided much of what is North America
