Diario de Debbie Cousins, 17 feb. 23

Well, I got in my 2-1/2 miles of walking today. It was challenging, but I was able to do it, and seem to be no worse for wear. Did not do dishes, or fold the load of clothes, or wash my hair, or make Chinese Casserole. They’ll all still be there 2m0 to do. My daughter messaged me that three of the four of them tested positive for covid this morning. Really hard for me as a “Rescuer” to not be able to run over there with food and medicines, tissues, etc. I tested again today and it was just BARELY positive. The test line is almost imperceptible. Maybe by 2m0 I’ll be Negative!!! Praying so. What’s y’all’s input as far as how soon I’ll be able to break quarantine?

Glad you're getting over this thing. I have no idea what the current guidelines are; I'd say check the CDC guidelines.

I like to walk around parks and watch the squirrels. Sometimes I try to catch them to burn some extra calories. One time I had one in my grasp but then a kid distracted me so I threw a rock at him

Squirrels can carry rabies— seriously don’t try to catch them.

5days after first positive test or 5 days after fever breaks. Though have to wear a mask for another 5 days. That's what doctor told me when I had covid in December.

BF and I both tested this morning. It had been 7 days for me and 9 days for him. Both still tested positive. We reviewed current CDC guidelines and Dan talked to his HR people and his medical group. All said he can return to work, he just has to mask up until day 10. He has zero symptoms, I still have sinus congestion but it’s getting better. Im just going to lay low, solo hike/walk until then and then just go on with my life. I think I have mentioned that they are now finding people who are testing positive 30 days to 6 months later but their blood testing is negative.

the CDC says if you have rapid tests to not break quarantine until you test negative. after 5 days of testing positive, if you no longer have symptoms you can leave the house provided you're wearing a proper mask. The rapid tests will test positive so long as they detect a viral load so it can be used as a quarantine breaker. it's the PCR that can test positive for up to 3 months. The CDC also says you can break quarantine after 10 days if you no longer have symptoms and aren't using the rapid tests. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/isolation.html?CDC_AA_refVal=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cdc.gov%2Fcoronavirus%2F2019-ncov%2Fyour-health%2Fquarantine-isolation.html
