I bought a cabbage 😋 My aunt suggested I make cabbage soup. Ummmmmmm.... guess what I'm going to be eating all week. There is so much of it! Cabbage, 4 carrots, 3 stalks of celery, 2 pounds of ground beef, beef broth, some hot sauce, and 2 tablespoons of tomato paste. This is really good. I don't have anyone to share it with 🤣

This sounds good, except I have a mental adversion to hamburger in soup! I know it is dumb. It must be from all those years from my childhood eating cheap greasy hamburger and finding gristle in my food! One of these days I am going to try it with top of the line lean hamburger. It really does sound good.

Darla- I sub ground chicken or turkey in any recipe calling for ground hamburger. I like burgers but on a whole wheat bun!

🤣 Darla , i understand. This is the first time I've put ground beef in soup. I cooked it first them dumped it in. I'm like that with cheap tuna. I had enough tuna when young. That was the "go to" diet food back then. Terrible.

Interesting I don't think I've heard of cabbage soup I love cabbage. I might sub sausage just because I like the spicy nature and flavorful spices in it. Have you thought about freezing any of it? It looks like it would freeze well. Certainly looks like a good meal for this cold snap we're having kinda done with ❄️ winter. 😋

Leah it would be great with sausage. I've never made this before. It was soooooo good! The beef made it. I might add hot sauce on my next cup to spice it up.

CRYSTAL , it was really good. Don't be afraid to add onion and garlic powder a bay leaf. I had liquid broth and the cubes.
