Well, this isn't surprising.

Okay folks - for those that have been following. Ya girl got the "Rona". Finally, after all these years. Miss "Rona" and me finally met. She threw quite an arsenal, too. I knew she would. Got all the weak spots. Fried my brain, made my joints scream, and completely took away my ability to smell.

...But, then - me and this form have an arsenal of our own. And, we'll just say we used it in spades.

Did you know that when you hit a certain level of activity, over 2000 molecular changes happen on the cellular level in your body?

That and losing over 4 lbs of sweat and "other junk" (mainly from nasal passages) is not actually a very optimal way for a virus to thrive. In fact, it considers that rather volatile especially since sweating is actually the body's natural way of detoxifying.

Miss "Rona" said, "NO, you're not going to go 24.7 miles at 244 watts for 75 minutes while I'm ravaging you!"

Me and this form said, "Oh wait bitch - you had your turn and now its ours!" We also had a fun time introducing "Rona" to 262 watts for 40 minutes yesterday. That and the weight session just dusted her ass.

"Rona" said, "You wouldn't dare get into a cold shower while I'm here.

Me and the body said, "Oh, just watch "Rona" you are going to love all those feel good endorphins the brain releases (like serotonin, dopamine, canabanoids, opiates, and other enzymes that are released that create and anti-oxidized environment and bring inflammation down!"

Turns out, "Rona" didn't much like that either. But, ya know she did me dirty and me and this form feel she needed learn what happens when you don't care what you do to an environment you come into, uninvited.

So, Miss "Rona" has taken her leave. However, now the collateral damage. I feel very certain the 40% of my WBC's I have left after taking an immunosuppressant for all these years did exactly what they were supposed to do. I do not think there is ANY new lesion or MS activity.

BUT, I am now concerned about how many of my t-cells I have left after this battle.

Common colds and other flu's won't tank me too bad. But, "Rona's" a different story. She's known to tank WBC's even in folks who are not on any kind of immunosuppressant. So, a blood test will be needed, pronto.

Most of us can operate fine on 40% of our immune system. But, I do actually need some t-cells in order to fend off just the common stuff. So, we shall see what happens.

It's all good...Have a blessed and healthy day, Everyone! Cheers to conquering my first "Rona" battle. :-)

I really enjoyed the way that you illustrated the illness and your battle. It was a very enjoyable read it was fun to read sorry you've been through a lot though. My mom has had all of her vaccines and boosters but has lots of trouble anytime she's gotten covid. She's unfortunately gotten covid like 4-5 times and then been hospitalized each time (sorry I can't remember the exact number having a bit of brain fog myself today). The main thing I've noticed that has been long-lasting and concerning with her has been blood clots even the less severe time that she got it she had issues with blood clots so just a something to look out for. Not to say that you will have any issues just to let you know. I think that's the reason why she's had issues with long-term covid brain fog. It's really good here that you're feeling a bit better though and that you're pushing through the illness itself.

I hope you stay on the road to recovery. I had it a year ago and between my asthma and other autoimmune issues, it kicked my butt for over 2 months. The recovery road was a hard climb but I finally got through it! You are a warrior and I have no doubt you will slay this!🩷🩷

LOL! No worries DAZEY - Stengle is just reminding me I do actually need to copy and paste and save this post to my FB feed as well. I meant to do that yesterday, but only so many hours in a day...Thank you, Stengle for the reminder! It's like having my own personal secretary! :-) And, a genuine thank you to everyone for your thoughts, concerns, and sharing a cosmic giggle with me, LOL! I have to confess, Rona did bring out the fire in my spirit so to speak (both, literally and figuratively). And, I confess at 50 years of age I don't feel any inclination to apologize for it. I feel LOADS better and that frankly didn't start happening until after the first 75 minute session on the bike. Also, note that I did all these workouts in the evening time after my care-giving/house manager tasks, which this week included mowing and trimming all the lawns, leaf blowing, cooking, cleaning, taking the trash out, taking care of pet needs, dealing with pool maintenance...etc. The point I'm driving in here is that I was still tired (which, I expected), but it was doable if I just took my time, paced myself, and met this body where it's at. With regards too long Covid - the only thing out of the list I don't already have to manage on daily to weekly basis with MS is the seizures. I have a dear former co-worker whose son went through horrible seizures post Covid and had to go on anti-seizure medication. After we did some research, both his father and I were surprised to see it as one of the symptoms that can accompany long Covid. Needless to say, I petitioned the universe on all that is holy to remove any likelihood of seizure activity post Rona. That is the LAST thing this central nervous system needs to contend with. With regards to blood clots and covid and covid vaccines, the jury is still out in terms of what other pathological factors can contribute to that outcome. Keep in mind when it comes to these phenomenons like "long covid" - no one thing is contingent on another. There are ALWAYS going to be factors at play we cannot see and rest assured the human mind can technically focus on about 3 with any distinction at any given time. As for the other symptoms like mobility issues, cog fog, fatigue - like I said, those are all things I typically manage with MS. Just comes with the territory. Rona didn't take on a newbie in this situation. She may be considered a "novel" virus by scientific standards, but many of her antics are not novel to this form. So, I just continue to take the advice of Breezy's dear friend Elle. "Just keep moving forward and enjoy every precious moment." :-) Have a beautiful, beautiful blessed Sunday my friends. Oh, AND HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU PRECIOUS MAMA'S OUT THERE!
