Diario de ny_shelly, 15 nov. 16

Hi FS Buddies,
First 36 hour fast went very well. I got very hungry at 24 hours, around 6 pm yesterday. When I got home I had a couple Diet Cokes, which aren't allowed, but I felt like a zombie and I wanted it. I didn't drink any artificial sweetener in my tea though so all was not lost!

I tried to eat an avocado the other day but that didn't go over too well. I thought it was yucky. :) LOL Well, I have to figure out a way to introduce those into my diet in a less obvious way. I guess peeling it and just trying to eat it was a little aggressive for me.

I don't do well with a lot of avocados; they do a number on my stomach. I mix them in smoothies and scrambbled eggs. I even make hummus with them. They are excellent for lowering cholesterol.

You need not wast time peeling! Cut it in half and scoop out the inside - maybe yours was too ripe? It should be firm and solid.

I make "chocolate" pudding for my grandson, he loves it! I just use allrecipes.com and sub Truvia for sugar. I used to not be an avocado fan, but 9 months in, just awesome!

Just read that Eating Celery daily will help lower blood pressure by 20 points. Going to give it a try!!

soooo... never tried guacamole!? OMG please do. Food from heaven! And there are plenty of light versions.

Add them to your salad or into a lettuce wrap.
