Day 12 of Spring Cut
36 Hours Fasted

Always feels good to see the big scale moves even though my rational mind knows that daily moves are pretty meaningless.

Fam's still eating on the 12# of cilantro lime pulled pork I prepped last weekend. Pretty sure that's getting a little bit tiresome at this point and IDGAF. They're all grown and free to upgrade on their own initiative, or not. One of the hardest lessons of any personal transformation is that it is a fundamentally selfish act and that the vast majority of others are vested in your failure. I am getting in shape for me, for my vanity and for what it will help attract into my life. Not for kids or grandkids or any of the rest of that crap.

Made it through yesterday evening/feed pretty well. My tactic this week has been to feed Pop twice before 5 and then just isolate and distract myself with reading or Ray Donovan until I go to sleep. Pop goes a little crazy when the sun goes down, as I am sure those of you with elders under roof have experienced. I can hear him banging around the house and saying ridiculous things. The reality is that this is all pretty normal and harmless. I mean who really cares if dirty glasses are arranged in the sink like some suburban crop circle? Or an empty dish is in the bread box? Or he spends an hour polishing the sink with paper towel shatds? None of this is harmful to himself or anyone else. It does, however, trigger me in a MAJOR way. And has been a non-trivial contributing factor to late evening diet lapses. This week has been better, obviously, but last night I felt that bunge, along with a powerful urge to break fast, as he was going through his nightly impersonation of a crazy man, and realized that my evening diet adherence issue goes well beyond handling the logistics of family feeding.

Visibly leaner by the day, but still quite a way to go. Feeling OK. Not particularly high energy, but getting through what needs to be done.

Plan is to fast for the next 36 hours, finishing the current 72 and refeed, mostly on steak, at Saturday dinner. Will do a full weigh in and pics tomorrow morning, and update my diet plan then. Pretty sure I will just continue with the 72s.

your right on so many levels. but what people fail to realize is it ultimately is for them when we take care of ourselves. I look at it this way. it's selfish of people to live undisciplined lives and expect everyone else to pick up their slack. your doing awesome man and investment in yourself is an awesome move that will pay huge dividends.
