Diario de suma-ya-c, 01 feb. 22

And we remain at the dreaded plateau. Things that worked last week:
- Reduced calorie 🎯 - was only slightly over (given I was >2000 on some weeks recently, this is a win for me)
- 3-5 fruit and veg ✅
- 100g/day protein ✅
- IF - managed 3-4 days ✅

Things I’m going to focus on this week
- Measure my water intake - I think I’m quite good but am I?
- Reduce calories further while I remain sedentary
- Reweigh on Friday
- Continue trying to find alternative solutions to eating my feelings.
- Reducing stress - going to set a worry time daily for 1 hour where I can catastrophize to my heart’s content. Then back to reality.
- Aim for 4-5 IF days

I like the idea of worry time. Taking control is always a good thing. An hour seems a long time though.

You might be right Anne. I tried 30min yesterday but it was too short to come back to the present. Maybe I should do 30min worry time followed by 15minutes recentering. I’ve had my hour of worry time this morning and it did feel a little long.

Yes, important to recentre. Give time for the stress hormones to settle.

Suma - I’m just gonna say it and be unpopular 🤣 I’m not a fan of intermittent fasting, I would end up eating more then the daily calories as I’d be so hungry. Regarding eating your feelings, idk, but maybe , write them down In your phone notes, that way, the writing might keep you occupied enough for the craving to pass, definitely try and fill up more on fruits and veggies, up your fruit and veg game girl 🤣 And like you gonna try, drink more water , I drink between 2.25 and 3 litres a day, good luck Suma, you’ve got this. 🤞🏻👏🏻👍🏻

Thats a fab stress reducer!! I worryworryworry ALLDAYLONG!! My brain says if I haven’t thought how to divert a disaster then it WILL happen and it’ll be all my fault.

Thanks Dagher. I had a look at the list of foods you suggested - my problematic area is the complex carbs. I have some work to do there. Baby steps 😊

Jamie, I love IF - I really thought I’d binge, but it’s the only way I can control myself. I find it easier to do than counting calories. But yes, in anyone with a diagnosis of disordered eating it can be a trigger. I only managed to drink a litre of water today🤣 - good thing I’m tracking it. Going to try and be more accountable on FS in the coming weeks. I’m gradually upping my fruit and veg game - it really is hard work 😓😆 you make it look so easy!
