Thanks Morticia! I never got around to the 2nd coat today. Son came over to fix flat tire on the mower and we ended up just hanging out in the yard under the trees. Had a nice visit. Hope youve had a great Sunday too :)

Wifey, all I really did was condition the seats and the maple at the back rest since those parts looked pretty good. I used Howard Feed-N-Wax beeswax n orange oil conditioner for that. But any wood conditioner would do. For the spindles/rungs/legs they were rough shape but glossy so I used white chalk paint to prime and then satin wall paint from Lowes in a shade called Dark Room. Dark over light required two coats. More tedious than anything. Taping saves a lot of trouble. Would love to see your chairs! 😍

Yippee, these were made by cochranes in NC 1965 near as I can figure from stamping on the bottom. Quality work they did. I liked the two tone as well.
