I eat leftovers a lot so it’s not my fav. However I do like when I have small amounts of many things. Then it’s like I have a sampler plate! I think I’d choose your meal over his ;).

Yeah, i was feeling adventurous so i tried green lentil penne. It has butter, fresh Italian parsley and a little parmesan. I gotta say, it is pretty close to regular white pasta in flavor and "bite." It is the same calories but 14 g protein per serving.

I know his tacos were really good too bc he says they taste just like the ones at our fave place, rusty taco! But i just like a giant bowl of meat and veg and sauce and pasta, lol.

The pasta brand is called Pow, btw. Also, i credit about 20# of my fat to rusty taco's insanely delicious queso dip! Funny story, i loved it so much i bought the teeshirt - it says "in queso emergency, head to rusty taco." I outgrew it ( size xl) almost immediately, thanks to too many queso emergencies! Fits now though. 😂

Thank you thank you! I love pasta so I’ll look for this brand. I’ve had no trouble limiting pasta but it would be nice to add some back in instead of trying to have shakes or all meat meals. I would so wear that shirt lol. White queso dip is the bomb! I order a small every time. We order a large if the kids and hubby want some but I still stick to the small portion. I recreated it once at home but then they stopped carrying the cheese at Walmart and now I can’t remember the brand to check at the new store that’s on the way to the gym. Yes, I would buy it on the way there or back lol. I’d eat it gay night too if I had an extra good/long workout!

I am too embarrassed to disclose how bad my queso habit got - how much i would spend, the amounts i bought, and the number of foods that taste delicious smothered in queso. Not even kidding. not doing low carb (obviously), but fs has made me more "macros aware," as brix from brix fitness would say. I never get enough protein. I also have been expanding my taste horizons some. That is why i love looking at everyone's food pix!

If you enjoy treats then there are bars and proteins for shakes. If not then meats and nuts. Meat is higher protein for the calories if you get leaner cuts. I’m not embarrassed... if queso was cheaper, if I could make it exactly the same at home and if it was lower calorie I’d be eating it daily!! And everything tastes better with queso lol. Maybe not fruit desserts or salads but everything else 😉. I find that if I have that small bowl once a month it gets me by until next month. Being lactose intolerant I’m limited on dairy. Queso affects me a little. Cottage cheese, sliced cheese and hard bricks of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella etc) are fine for me. Milk and ice cream are out unless I want to feel bad for a day or more. My shakes are milk concentrate but it doesn’t bother me as long as I have 24-48 hours between them. It’s odd. Ok I’m wanting all that’s stuff. So... kale... let’s talk about something that doesn’t make me want a before dinner snack lol.
