I know it doesn't LOOK like much steak, but it was a two full ounces. I could have had more, but I saved the other 2-oz for dinner! If I could only figure out how to HEAT it without making it go from Medium-Rare to MEDIUM!!!

That little dab was 2 ounces? Yikes! Goes to show you how we all probably over-estimate our serving sizes. No wonder every diet program in the world recommends actually weighing and measuring to improve accuracy when counting calories.

I don't think that is a steak. A morsel that is what it is LOL Looks good though

Yes, @To145, I couldn't live without my kitchen scale. They're really not that expensive, and well worth the money! I actually love counting grams, because it makes the count SO accurate! Sometimes, it's hard to figure out how much a VERY small portion of something is - especially when your only choice is to use a half-cup quantity. I just had to figure out what PERCENTAGE of 1/2 cup was in one TEASPOON of Bourbon Bread Pudding. I had brought someone else's leftovers home from the dinner at the Spoonbread Bistro the other night, and THANKFULLY I hadn't yielded to tasting it at the restaurant, as I was prompted several times to do. I don't think I could have let that little container alone in the refrigerator (I would have climbed in there WITH it!) It was SOOOOOOO good! I can't even describe the aroma, the texture, the taste! It was one of the BEST things I have ever tasted - and I don't even particularly LIKE bread pudding!

PS, the steak doesn't LOOK like it from that angle, but it was actually about an inch high.

I think you could put a bit of water with it and heat it on the lowest number on an electric burner for a few minutes and not cook it more. Looks delicious.

I usually just eat it cold if I don't want it to get more cooked. I know, it's not the same, but still delicious
