So I was 🏡 today because I had my specialist visit with Rheumatologist. I take off because it’s usually a long day and my doctors are only in on my work days. I am being referred to orthopedic for bilateral shoulder injections. There getting worse. Anyone had that done? Is it painful? She said it is systemic so I can expect some water retention and swelling. I mean, what am I going to do🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m being kept on my Plaquenil 200 mg twice a day, but I’m officially starting Methotrexate today. I shouldn’t be having the break through mini flares as many as I had or the severe in tears flares. Clinically I had joint swelling and sumo it is on exam while on Plaquenil. Question... anyone else on Methotrexate or both? Also getting put on folic acid and 50,000 IU Vitamin D.

By tough I meant strong, as in great and wonderful. Ugh. I’m likely making this worse. Hope you know what I meant. Not tough as in from the hood...😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Thanks Tish ♥️ It’s getting to the point I’m going to have to do it. Surgery was mentioned as well to get rid of ossification and any damage, but I still need to be seen to be sure. My ROM is limited. I’d rather do the injections and deal with steroids. I started taking 6,000 of vitamin D when my labs came back and waited on my prescription that wasn’t sent in. Flu season, it’s just busy. My Rheumatologist picked up on it right away and sent it the 50,000 IU. She said everything is heightened, especially Fibromyalgia when the vitamin D is so low. I actually increased energy just doing the 6,000 a day. Thank you again friend 💜💚

Kate, been through PT multiple times 11-14 years ago. I even had Spinal Decompression Therapy ( Dr. Zeleger invented it, my orthopedic at the time) it is better than traction when PT isn’t working and can slip bulging and herniated discs back into place. Relieve nerve impingement. Worked well on my lumbar, couldn’t tolerate it on my neck. This was all from a nasty injury. Refused surgery. Since 2014-15 I have had 3 surgeries. Nothing pertaining to neck or back or this now. I do practice PT exercises for neck and back painsince and stretches and light 🧘🏻‍♀️ since joining FS with a new issue. I had time for it before, but 12.75- 14 hour shifts even though only twice a week, kids, school, all of our appointments, it’s stressful. Psoriatic Arthritis is painful like RA and Systemic Lupus. I hear wonderful things about Humira🙌 I hope you continue to have relief and thank you🤗💜💚

Fritzy, I have learned to just go with the flow and expect things to happen, but remember the optimism. I still have anxiety about everything, but I can’t control everything. It’s honestly, a blessing in disguise. I used to have to control everything and that just doesn’t work. I wanted to control everything, but yet I couldn’t get my weight under control, beyond the steroids. I have grown a lot the last few years. I roll with things and use my diary here and do what I can. We all have something or things♥️ Thank you friend 🤗💜💚

Thank you perks54♥️ I have been through a lot and seen a lot and there is something about hitting your late 30’s and something about FS..... that has combined with my aging. You just keep pushing. I’m nothing special. Just a very seasoned and still learning person.

Because Wifey, not everybody is for everybody and that is ok♥️🙌 I chose to go my own way friend, a few months ago. And I’m better off 💯 because it doesn’t feel good to be a my way or the highway person or just plain judgmental and mean. 😘 some people still need to grow and for a few, absolutely, their still young, rude and vicious, but young, old enough to know better..... friend hell yes!!! But wooooosahh😂🤦🏻‍♀️🤗🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️ one, well in your 50’s.... it doesn’t matter.

Awe Diana😞 I hope she gets relief. That’s terrible 🥺 Late diagnosis? Rampant RA? Awful☹️ I’m hopeful. Thank you friend. This is going to work. And if it doesn’t, but it will... speaking positive affirmations out loud, then I keep it moving and that’s that. 💜💚 I’m thankful to have found thorough physicians.

I hope, you get relief from your pain with your new meds &/or the injections. One of my sisters has struggled with chronic pain for over 10 years. It seems like every time she gets one issue under control something else flares up. Saying a prayer for you ❤

JC...honey, I'm sorry you have so many burdens. I don't know anything about your medicines, but let's hope you don't have side effects. I briefly took Vit D about a year ago...it isn't a big deal. I've had injections in my hip and I didn't think it was a big deal (but I refused to look, too). You are a working momma, wife, and friend who is active and busy. I would ask your doctor about physical therapy, like Kate_welsh09 suggested. I know you are busy, but even 20 minutes a day might help. I am praying for you in my Novena and asking that a healing hand be placed on you. Love and prayers XOXO :0)
