Well this is day 4 of quitting smoking, my weight is staying the same or losing some. I am happy with that ( big smile ). I try to eat just 3 times a day and exercise every day. Changing my habits is very hard but I am getting there. Using the patches and gum, but gum just if I get a bad craving. it tastes bad...lol. Getting healthy is my goal now not weight loss. If I loose it will be great.

God Bless. I am not a smoker but I do belong to OA, no addiction is fun and it takes a sturdy heart to quit so a great big hug goes out to you.

Congrats on day 4, the first week is the toughest. It will get easier and you will start to feel better. I smoked for nearly 15 years partially quit for about 5 years (would go months and then relapse for a month or two), but since then I have been quit for a solid 5 years. KEEP IT UO...YOU GOT THIS!

Good for you on quitting the cigarettes! Addictive habits may be hard to break but it can be done and you're doing it. Health issues are what finally gave me the gumption to lose weight, exercise, and be healthier. Keep it up - you're in the process of replacing an unhealthy habit with healthier ones!

Awesome job. I found Fat secret originally after quitting smoking and adding a lot of weight.

Once you get used to your new, healthy lifestyle it's not going to be hard anymore, just give it some time.

Good for you. Take it one day at a time and before you know it you will be looking back in amazement at how long it's been without a cigarette. I have now been cigarette free for 30 years but it took a severe respiratory infection to get me started (and believe me I tried to smoke during it, but it was too painful). Once started I just kept plodding along one day at a time. I didn't count myself cured until the 5 year mark when I stopped reaching for that cigarette after dinner lol. I think if I had not quit I would either be dead or on oxygen by now :)

My Husband quit via an e-cig. He was over a pack a day smoker who had tried everything in the past and always appeared to look for excuses to smoke again. April 1 2014 he purchased an e-cig and is still not smoking. Shortly after he quit he was involved in a somewhat serious car accident and he still did not smoke. Perhaps it might be worth a try.
