Yesterday I kept my carbs on the low side (less than 50 grams), and ran 11 miles.

The reason for the run is that it kept my heart rate at 165 for 2 hours straight. When I do that, progress is made…

@srossca - Just around Pasadena. However, there is this huge hill next to what used to be the Ritz Carlton that is steeeep 🤣

@jcmama777, @Fritzy 22, @HCB, @rgaDawg, @erikahollister - Thanks! I plan to try to do 11 miles again today. The reason won't be weight loss (I probably wont drop much), just 'appetite maintenance' because we have a lunch to go to later today... Yesterday the run totally killed my appetite.

Hi sir, I am amazed by your endurance and would love to one day run for 11 miles. May I ask how you started and what are some tips for beginners? Also, his long and his often did you practice to get there? Thank you and I wish you much success in all that you pursue.

@body by spirit - I started doing slow jogging about 10 years ago. Perhaps only 1 mile at a time. My progress has actually been very slow :)

Lot of sweat i guess. What about cramps ? Some magnesium or potassium supplement ?

@Tassos67 - I swear by L-Leucine for aches and cramps. I also take magnesium every day.
